We always try to do our best, yet we know that there can still sometimes be cause for concern. That's when you can turn to our designated company representatives to help resolve your concerns.
The Economical Insurance Group has formal complaint handling procedures to ensure customers' concerns are efficiently handled, thoroughly reviewed and resolved by an experienced company representative.
How do you voice your concerns?
Your primary contact for any automobile, personal property or business insurance concerns is your independent insurance broker, from whom you purchased your insurance. Contact your broker first to discuss your concerns.
If you feel that your concerns have not been resolved by your broker, please telephone or write to the nearest office of The Economical Insurance Group. When you telephone, please state the nature of your call to help us quickly direct you to the appropriate company representative. The most appropriate person to contact is the operational manager of the department that you are dealing with (for example, if your concern is underwriting related, contact the underwriting manager). Your broker has access to this information and can help you obtain the correct name and telephone number. If the company representative is not available to speak with you, you will be asked for contact information. This information may include your name, policy number, telephone number and email address. A company representative will return your call within 24 hours.
If you prefer to write, please address your letter to the respective department manager of the Economical office nearest you.
If, after contacting your nearest Economical office, your issues are still not resolved, contact The Economical Insurance Group's Ombudsman. The Ombudsman can be reached at 1-800-265-9996, extension 8215 or 1-800-361-7573, extension 57929 in Quebec. The Ombudsman will provide an independent review of your concerns.
